  • Surratt Artistique Smoky Eye Brush Moyenne

Image 1 of 1

Surratt’s Artistique Smokey Eye Brush – Moyenne is of unprecedented quality. Handcrafted in Japan, the fluffy brush has super-soft, densely packed natural bristles and a perfectly balanced handle to pick-up and distribute powder products perfectly. The elongated teardrop shape is ideal for laying down base shadow, as well as concentrating colour in the crease/along the lashline for sexy, smoky-eyed smoulder.
After dipping the tapered brush in powder, tap off any excess. Focus saturated colour around the lash line; then smoke out and blend into nothingness around the perimeter. To maintain the integrity of your brush, wash with gentle shampoo at least once a month. Reshape the natural hairs and lay flat on a towel to dry.
Apprentice to the late, legendary make up artist Kevyn Aucoin, Troy Surratt has ‘grown up’ to become one of the beauty industry’s most well-respected make up masters. Celebrated for his daring use of colour, his self-titled collection features vivid pigments, skin-friendly formulations and incredible, high-quality brushes to facilitate creation of bold beauty looks.

So be warned when you choose this brush, it wont pack on shadows. I use it to diffuse and it works perfectly.

I love it! It is the softest and luxurious brush I have ever used. It works so well in my creases and makes my make up look airbrushed. OMG the brush makes me so happy. I have amazing japanese crafted brushes but this one is especially good. When you like high quality it is a must have… it's a dream

    If different is your thing!

I really love the craftsmanship of this brush. It's lightweight but still luxurious. You can see that it's crafted in Japan. Application wise, for someone who prefers a punch for their makeup, this won't fly. This isn't for those who are looking for drama. This brush is for blown out eyeshadow placements, soft definition and intricate crease work. It really does shine there. The term smoky is deceptive, it makes one think that this brush is one stop shop for a smoky eye. Actually, it's the answer to making smoky eyes less garish and more sophisticated. It allows for gradual gradient eye shadow placement and subtle contrast. I am a fan, because I like makeup to look effortless. This one is for the people who prefer a sense of luxury to their makeup!
