In my opinion and for my skin the Inkey List Starter Retinol Serum is in fact a good way to ease into retinol. As usual, with retinol you don't need much, so one product will last a while. The price is phenomenal. I like it!

Gentle retinol, no irritation so far
I’ve been using Starter Retinol Serum and so far it’s been a good introduction to retinol. I have sensitive, oily skin and my skin hasn’t reacted badly at all, which I was a bit worried about. I haven’t seen huge changes yet, but my forehead does look a bit more plump and smooth. I also keep in mind that this is a starter retinol, so I wasn’t expecting dramatic results straight away. Overall, it feels like a nice, gentle option to begin with.
