Caused severe burning and redness – not for sensitive skin!
I really wanted to love this toner, but unfortunately, it was a terrible experience for my skin. I have combination skin that is usually calm, though I do have some dry patches on my cheeks. Almost immediately after applying this Pixi Botanical Collagen Tonic, my cheeks started burning and turned bright red. The sensation was very uncomfortable, and I had to wash it off right away to stop the irritation. When I looked closer at the ingredients, I realized why it reacted so badly. It contains Linalool, Amyl Cinnamal, and Bergamot Fruit Oil. These are known fragrance allergens and essential oils that can be highly irritating, especially for reactive or sensitive skin. Also, the Sodium Chloride in it can be problematic for clogging pores. If you have sensitive skin, rosacea-prone skin, or just easily irritated cheeks, please do a patch test or avoid this completely. It's a definite "no" for me. Very disappointed.
