My Holy Grail Sparkle As 30-Something
I have the shades 'We Need Better Lighting' (bought for myself) and 'Still At The Club' (from a Cult Beauty GWP offer). I agree with the reviews that say "no fallout", "no creasing", "stays all day" and "best glitter I've ever tried". I always use an eye primer (Urban Decay Original), but would imagine this formula would adhere fairly well without it, too. My biggest grievance with eye makeup - as someone in their mid-to-late-thirties who otherwise doesn't look their age - is that most eyeshadows can betray my age when I use them on my lid. Not these ones, however. I do highly recommend these shades for people who shy away from eyeshadow for this reason. This one doesn't care that my lids are thinner than in my teens and twenties - with these Patrick Ta eyeshadows my lids look nothing like a crease city. I especially love the 'We Need Better Lighting' duo that simply leaves a lovely sparkle without much base colour. The colours suit me great. The silver is to die for and even the gold is such a nuanced shade that it look good on my lids despite being an extreme-cool-complected person. Additionally, I have been experimenting with the GWP duo 'Still At The Club'. The top shade, with its taupey-brown undertones, suits a cool-complected person well. However, I'm also ultra-fair, so I have to use an extremely light hand if I want to use it as an everyday makeup because it is very pigmented - and if you're after a smoldering smokey eye, you can get that in no time. The bottom shade is more neutral (with maybe even a hint of warmth) and has more base pigment and less sparkle than the top shade, so I use that even more sparingly, mainly for the outer crease and smoking out the area under the eye. But even this more base-pigmented duo doesn't make my eyelids look creased or wrinkly. These have been my most effortless, most used eyeshadows since I got them in August. I recommend using your fingers (I know, I also love using brushes for the most part, but these look and adhere best when applied with fingers) to apply onto your lid and crease, then (if needed), smoking out with a brush (or finger). Effortless timeless makeup, that's these in a nutshell.
