Long-lasting and addictive
I adore a deep boozy rum note in perfumes, so this one intrigued me right away. I wanted to try it before buying a full bottle of the perfume, so I went for this perfume oil and I'm so surprised by the longevity of it. To me, this is sweet, warm but not terribly deep in scent. There is a freshness sweetness to this that is like a hint of citrus but without being tangy or sour. I can almost sense an overly-ripe mango type of smell somewhere in this making it feel tropical, but not fruity. You still pick up the body of warm rum, but it isn't particularly spicy like you'd expect with a name like "dark" rum. I find this scent addictive and despite having so many different perfumes available to me and usually enjoying mixing it up, this is all I want to wear since I got it. I also like the texture of this perfume oil which isn't as oily as others I've tried - feels more like a dry oil. It lasts a long time on the skin and I can only hope the perfume version of this lasts just as long.
