Unfortunately for my budget, this mascara simply IS better than the drugstore alternatives I've tried. Every now and then I try to find a more affordable replacement, but this mascara is the perfect balance where it holds my curled lashes in place, but doesn't dry out and destroy my lashes. The applicator is perfect, and the product doesn't clump up. I opt for the travel size for hygienic reasons since I prefer to replace my mascara more frequently.
