Milk Makeup's Hydro Grip Primer (45ml) boasts a silky gel formula that gives your look real staying power while remaining invisible against the skin.
This green-tinted primer glides on smoothly to form a layer that locks make up in place for up to 12 hours while granting a natural, dewy finish. Our favourite part? The formula is enriched with nourishing aloe water, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide *and* blue agave extract (hello hydration...) to deliver good-to-skin benefits at the same time. It isn’t a full matte primer, so if your skin is very oily or you need severe oil control, it might not be enough alone—but it can be a valuable part of your routine with the right layering and setting. Personally, for oily skin, I think it works well if: you use a little bit, you let it set, you have powder/fixing steps, and you’re okay with a glow that might show a bit after hours rather than totally flat matte.

Not for Me, But Perfect for Teen Skin
Personally this primer didn’t work for my skin type — I found the texture a bit too sticky and it didn’t sit well under my foundation. However, my teenage daughter absolutely loves it. On her, it creates a smooth, fresh base that keeps her makeup in place all day. The mini size is also very handy for testing and travel. So while it’s not my go-to, I can see why it’s so popular, especially for younger skin.
