Working to hydrate, balance and maintain a perfect pH level, the Barrier Culture Moisturiser strengthens your skin's delicate ecosystem (which is home to trillions of microbes!) - helping your complexion to defend itself against the likes of pollution, UV light, infection and dehydration.

Ideal for dry, dull, sensitive and breakout-prone complexions, patented tech rebuilds your microbiome, which helps to ward off the negative effects of pollution and effectively lock in moisture. Repairing your barrier with a trifecta of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics, expect balanced, smooth and calm skin. Niacinamide activates the skin's immune response - which helps to reduce the look of dark marks while supporting natural regeneration - and calendula, cica and chamomile extracts deliver an instantly soothing sensation to stressed complexions. As if it couldn't get any better, squalane, ceramides and peptides help ensure skin is protected and hydrated with improved productivity of collagen and elastin.

Use AM and PM, daily. Apply 1-2 pumps to clean, dry skin. For best results, use after the Barrier Culture Cleanser.

Desperate to break the cycle by simplifying your routine and protecting your complexion from the elements, The Nue Co.'s Barrier Culture Moisturiser uses a vegan cocktail of active ingredients (think: niacinamide, squalane, ceramides, probiotics, etc.) to parry dulling and balance upset skin via an intensely moisturising and calming gel-to-cream formula.

What I love about this cream is how quickly it is absorbed, it does not leave a sticky layer on the skin, as many moisturisers do

Liked it, but had a minor allergic reaction

At first, I really liked it. It has almost no smell and a subtle pleasant "aftertaste" of something fruity. The texture is nice and it does a good job at moisturizing. All in all, a great using experience. However, I had a minor allergic reaction to it. Looked into the ingredients and I am guessing it was caused by the citric acid. So... warning there, especially if you want to use this with a vitamin c serum underneath, maybe don't :) Even on its own it irritated my skin a little bit, which is sad because nobody wants to be running around with red itchy patches.
