my first try
I've never used any True Botanicals products before and had no notions about it, but it was great, though! I experienced no redness or irritation. The serum absorbed well and didn't leave any residue. The serum does have a scent, but it was pleasant. I always follow this with a moisturizer, and I wear sunscreen during the day

Surprisingly good for the unimpressive composition. You will feel your skin softer the next morning after the first use. Thus it is better than the Renew Repair Nightly Treatment for instance, which is far more expensive and pretentious. Notice that this serum does NOT contain real retinol, but phyto ingredients that allegedly mimic retinol effects (theory I don't believe to be true).

Not my cup of tea
Let's start with the scent- Overpowering in the worst way possible. You do not get used to it, You just don't breathe for the 20 seconds while applying it. Don't understand why face products would need to have such a strong smell. The title on the bottle is somehow miss leading as it says phyto-retinol serum, but there is no retinol or any retinol derivative. They then claim it is natural ,,retinol'' with the same strength and result without the irritation. Let me tell you, all bunch of scenting ingredients will definitely irritate the skin. I am not new in the retinol world but don't use high %. I don't think any skincare is miracle and i don't expect that, but after an entire bottle i could not see any of the difference and considering the smell and the price, i would just go for unscented retinol product or more gentle retinol derivative if you have sensitive skin.

I like to use the serum on my neck, I think it's a good choice. There are few serums suitable for the neck, but I really like this product.
