The Ordinary has firmly cemented itself as a leader in science-backed skin care. Taking the guesswork out of building a regime, it ditches unnecessary, filler ingredients for familiar, hard-working actives that deliver promising results. A case in point is the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% (30ml), a gentle serum designed to smooth, brighten and plump.
Want to improve the appearance of dull, lacklustre skin while you sleep? Cue The Ordinary's Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres (30ml) treatment.
At the centre of this water-free formula is L-ascorbic acid (AKA the purest form of vitamin C) which remains completely stable due to the absence of water. Famed for its brightening abilities, this acid reduces the appearance of an uneven skin tone and dark spots. That's not all though; with the infusion of hyaluronic acid spheres, this treatment also hydrates and plumps the skin. It's ideal to use at bedtime, so you can wake up with a radiant, supple and more youthful-looking complexion.
Ascorbic Acid, Squalane, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Coconut Alkanes, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glucomannan, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Trihydroxystearin, Bht.
For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.
Apply a small amount to the face once daily, ideally in the evening. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Use sun protection during the day. A tingling sensation can be expected; if the sensation is too strong, the formula can be mixed with other oils of your preference before each application to reduce the strength.

Gritty and unpleasant to use
I had to throw this away as so unpleasant to use. It feels very grainy, as though you are smearing diluted sand all over your face. I'm a big fan of Buffet and some of the other serums, and I know it is hard to deliver Vitamin c, but this is a big miss.

Hello Glow
I have used this product for almost 2 weeks now, and I see results. I can see that my overall skin texture has improved, and I have brightness and a nice glow in the morning. I use this product only at night, along with 2 other Ordinary products and a moisturizer to seal on top, and they are working well for my skin. Yes, there is that gritty feel with what I assume is the powder Vitamin C that is used in the product, but I am okay with it, as they probably cut out excess refinement labor to keep the prices low. At this price point, I am willing to cut out the "feel good skincare" experience as long as it provides results. Happy with the purchase!

Really good product
Really good product. It is a bit gritty when applying and felt a bit oily on the skin but the results were amazing. I use it in the evenings about 3 times a week, it evens out and brightens my skin tone. The price is also good value for your money. It gets a thumbs up from me.

Reaction with makeup
I didn't see much results from it so far, but I'll give it some more time though. Just wanted to say that I don't recommend putting it in the morning since today it made my brow pencil ORANGE on my skin, so watch out for possible reaction with makeup.

Excellent product
After a lot of research I decided to purchase this and I have no regrets. I’ve not even had it long and I can already see a difference in my complexion. Still have a way to go to see if it helps with my pigmentation but so far so good. Yes the texture is strange but it clearly states this in the information regarding the product (on their website) and I find using it at night to be a better way to use it. It has replaced an old and very expensive favourite of mine. Absolutely recommend!!

Stings a lot and gritty as hell
I bought this to ramp up my skincare routine, but it's such a high concentration of Vitamin C... it stings when you apply it and it just sits on the skin and dries, leaving a gritty film - rather than soaking in like I assumed it would do.. I am going to persevere with it in my uneven areas, but I probably wouldn't buy again. I definitely don't recommend applying in the morning due to how it dries. If you wear make up the texture will also make applying a base more difficult.

Chucked it out after two uses
I did not like the texture and how this product felt on my face after application. I tried it again and really did not like it so unfortunately it went in the bin.

Vitamin C.
Omg I love this stuff. For the low price it’s amazing. I have always struggled with hyperpigmentation and use this at least 3-4 times a week and boy had my skin took a turn for the better. 5 out of 5?

Not for me
The product works okay on my skin and the price is excellent. But the texture is grainy and I hate the smell. On top of that, it makes your face really shiny. I wouldn't buy this again.

Good for my face but not for the hands and nails!
It has worked well on my face, I saw an improvement but after a month of using it I noticed orange patches on my palms and my nails had become orange. I also noticed orange staining on my pillows. I was unsure whether it was the serum but after searching about vitamin c serums it seems to be a common side effect! Not sure it’s worth the orange hands and nails.
