Great Starter
I have used the 0.2% so this percentage was next up. No irritation, redness or peeling from this formula. I love that it's an oil so it's moisturising enough for night. A great product for beginners.

BEST ORDINARY PRODUCT!
Admittedly I really wasn’t expecting amazing results from this product, nor was I expecting immediate results but this really went beyond my expectations. I have used gentler retinoids before so I thought I’d jump straight to the 0.5%, luckily I didn’t have any dryness or irritation whatsoever and instead woke up with super smooth, glowing and healthier looking skin. Where it’s made the most improvement is the nasal labial lines that I worried were becoming more prominent from smoking, I noticed less depth in those lines after the first day of use. This is great for layering over other products from the brand and I’m currently using it for the Hyaluronic serum and Buffet. I will definitely repurchase this, in fact, I cannot imagine not being without it.

So far sooo good!
This my first retinol ever and after 2 weeks I can only say good things about it. I've bought it for me (31, dry, olive skin) and my mother (57, very dry, medium skin) and we both love this serum. It doesn't sting at all, no bad reactions and even though is an oil-based serum it's not oily at all. I can only see my skin more glowing. Definitely will buy more and more from The Ordinary. And also, 10 stars to Cult beauty team and Shipping... LESS THAN 5 WORKING DAYS (placed the order on Monday and on Friday morning I was opening it!) to get my package in Italy. So amazed! Thank you all!

Makes my skin glow
I purchased this product around 3 months ago and I am very impressed with the results. I have been using AHAs and BHAs on my skin for a long time so I went straight for the 0.5% concentration retinol, increasing the frequency over time. I only had a small bit of dryness at the start but now I use it every other day and my skin is noticeably even and glowing after each use.

Superb, will upgrade to higher percentage
I’ve bought this because it was one of the cheap retinol. Because I’m new to retinol I know that I have to wait till my skin will get used to it. First couple days of using it was fine, then my skin got dry and started to peel after a week or so. Now my skin got used to it and it’s not drying anymore. My skin feels soft and more glowing.

Amazing!
I’ve had p.d for YEARS and when it cleared I wanted a retinol that would be suitable for my sensitive skin, yet effective, and this one cleared basically all my spots, blackheads, redness and less visible pores (also noticed firming and less visible fine lines, but that’s not an issue yet) in a week or two! If you haven’t used retinols before; start slow! Like once a week. It will cause peeling in the beginning.

Lovley serum for a lovley price
Bought this as a preventative as I'm nearing 30 & thought I best start doing something about ageing. Has the texture of an oil, no smell, easy to use the bottle. Nice to apply, doesn't leave me feeling greasy, facial oil & moisturiser go on top of it well. Have noticed a small difference in big frown lines but akin looks altogether more clear and airbrushed.

Dried my skin horribly.
I got this product as it was recommended by an article I read. Thinking it would help my skin, I purchased it. However, it has done nothing but dried my skin making it feel tight and very itchy. I thought it was just like this as it was the first time I used it, but I persisted thinking that my skin might take to it, but a week later there was no change. This is going to the bin unfortunately. Very disappointed.
