Matrixyl

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I hate the whole beauty myth. I'm 55, an averagely wrinkled former tomboy, and rarely wear makeup. I have always used whichever moisturiser is on special offer. My sister, on the other hand is completely consumed by the ridiculous claims made companies about the miraculous effects of their products. Over the years she has bought me dozens of expensive, unwanted creams and potions guaranteed to combat wrinkles. These I invariably use for a month and then give back to her - she may be gullible but she's sneaky! HOWEVER, a few months back she bought me The Ordinary Matrixyl and I used it twice a day and WITHIN A WEEK I noticed that the lines across my forehead were reduced. Other people noticed it too! I've always looked younger than my age, but usually people think I'm 45. Suddenly that guesstimate has dropped to 'late thirties'. Seriously, I'm not even joking - this stuff works AND is cheap AND is ethically sound AND comes in glass, not plastic. And finally I'm a convert. The Ordinary is extraordinary.

Amazing Product

This is my second bottle of this stuff. I’ve been using it twice a day every day for 2 months and have noticed a reduction in wrinkles as well as much softer skin! Highly recommended!

Too Sticky

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I used this serum for a month, I don't see any plumping of hydration. The serum is so sticky, I have to follow with my moisturiser to get rid of the stickiness! I don't recommend this serum, there are better serums that are more pleasant to use.

Matrixyl

I’m 51, have normal skin but have an issue with wrinkles and fine lines. I used ‘The Ordinary’ Buffet for one month and had a break then bought Matrixyl. I wash my face with coconut oil and then apply Matrixyl to my face, neck and chest after that I apply ‘The Ordinary’ Hyaluronic Moisturiser. The Matrixyl smooths over my skin beautifully and then dries quickly. After about 3 weeks my face is plumping out which is making my wrinkles appear less and the Hyaluronic Moisturiser certainly compliments the Matrixyl.

The Best Investment!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have tried various serums - some costing around £40. This one is the best one by far and I’m on my second bottle! I really notice my skin is more healthy and glowy. I haven’t had a breakout in months cause of this which is a bonus! All my friends have complimented my skin and I have recommended them this! AMAZING!

Amazing!!

Started using this after some very impressive results using the Buffet. This is a slightly thicker serum. Lovely on the skin, it gives a glow instantly. But the following day, my skin is smoother, pores are tighter and the skin tone is evener. Layering this with the hyaluronic acid and using the rose drops once a week. Highly recommended.

Nice

I have finished my alpha arbutin and niacinamide so I got this to replace the two while waiting for Cult Beauty to restock. Opaque and thick texture. I pat it on my skin after Marine Hyaluronics; followed by Resveratrol+Ferulic Acid. My skin has transformed to more even-toned and glowy. Love!

Plumped and moistened

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought both this one and the "Buffet". This one is far better. Great plumper and moisturizer! I saw great results. "Buffet" seems to have more ingredients, but far less effective and leaves a sticky residue on your skin.
