Offering gentle yet effective exfoliation with 10% lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid), this lightweight serum reduces pigmentation, minimises fine lines and wrinkles and improves overall skin texture. It's also bursting with Tasmanian pepperberry to reduce signs of inflammation and soothe any redness sometimes caused by exfoliation. Oh, and there's more... it's enhanced with nourishing hyaluronic acid to not only lock in moisture, but retain it too.

Apply once per day, ideally in the evening. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

Lovely!
I've been using this for more than a month combined with the Salicylic Acid 2% Solution & the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (both by The Ordinary) and I cannot explain how good my skin feels. I still have a long way to go to achieve my goals when it comes to my skin but I am loving these products so far. I use Lactic Acid 10% + HA three times a week before going to bed and it's a bit tingly but nothing too bad. It's bearable when you think about the work it does. I highly recommend for people with sensitive and acne-prone skin like mine.

Great, mild AHA exfoliator
I've been using this product for about 2 months, 3 times a week in the PM. I apply it after cleansing and toning and it normally tingles a bit for 1-2 minutes right after applying. I have not experienced any kind of redness or peeling with this product. Overall, I would say this is a great product for those looking to incorporate an AHA exfoliator in their skincare routine. I have noticed significantly less comedones forming on my chin, forehead and cheek area and I have had slightly less breakouts since incorporating this product. In terms of superficial observations, my skin feels a lot smoother and has more clarity. I have also observed that the blocked pores with blackheads on my nose are slightly less noticeable. However, lactic acid is an AHA so I don't expect this product alone to tackle blackheads as AHA's are not oil-soluble. I would also like to mention that I am using other products in my skincare regime to help with these skin concerns so I can't conclude that my skin improvements have been entirely thanks to this product alone.

Amazing
I’ve suffered with bad acne/ red blemishes and also little tiny bumps on my forehead and side of cheeks that’s made me very insecure over the past couple of years. I’ve tried everything to reduce these until I bought this! I’ve used it for a week now and I am seeing results instantly. I apply a tiny bit per night onto my skin and I’ve never felt more happier with my skin and appearance. It has really gained my confidence back, I really recommend this product, super impressed! I literally tried this product by reading all the positive reviews about it. it has become my favourite product in my skin care routine. Good
I've started using the lactic acid in 5% because I was worried that it might be too strong. Have now switched to 10% since my skin got more used to it and I have sensitive skin. I like the glow it gives overall, but requires constant using to keep that glow. Wouldn't recommend using it everyday tho.

Excellent results
I'm genuinely impressed by this product. It helped a lot with my blemishes, black and white heads, redness, huge pores, etc. I use it in combination with Niacinamide. I have experienced no side effects. Will definitely keep using it and add more products to my routine. Most importantly, I finally have hope that I could have even tone and I'm not ashamed to go out without makeup anymore - sun protection is obligatory, though. Thank you, The Ordinary, love you.

In my opinion this is so far the best product I have used for my dull/open pore/blackhead prone/mature skin. I tend not to use it near my nose as it tends to make me breakout in a cold sore! On my second bottle, it's not a miracle but it does help keep my skin clearer than it would be without it.
