Smoke - not really smoky
I have been on a mission this summer to collect every one of the scattered light eyeshadows. The colors are usually a bit surprising and Smoke isn't really smoky! Instead, it’s a kind of silvery gold. With an eyeshadow base, it turns out to be a kind of smoky gold, but I don’t recommend using bases with these shadows, because for me, they kill some of the glitter which is their best feature. When I first started using make up in the 1970s, I thought it would be a really cool job to come up with make up names. I still do and I think I might be able to do a better job than they have to name these eyeshadows! Anyway, I’m sure I will find interesting layering and “one and done” ways to use Smoke but it’s not my favorite. Which is Ray in case you are wondering ;-)

RIP my eyeshadow
I absolutely love this eyeshadow! The colour, pigment everything is amazing about it. Unfortunately I ended up spilling the entire pot all over my floor, I’ve been finding glitter on the bottom of my shoes for weeks! So I would say it’s fairly long lasting😂

Rapture
As I’ve said before, none of these colors can be captured properly in the photographs. Rapture is actually that very rare color, red based, and really brings out my blue eyes. The glitter isn't contrasting like some of the other Scattered Lights, but more harmonious.

Ray is gorgeous!
Ray is my fifth scattered light eyeshadow, and I couldn’t be happier with it. None of the colors can be captured in photographs. Ray is an extremely interesting combination of a warm base with cool glitter over it, slightly bluish. I have been wearing it alone and also using it as a topper. My new Summer fave.
