Perfect for my olive undertones
I honestly don't know how this differs so much from other brands. I have a neutral skin tone with olive undertones. But in the wintertime I get really pale, so I went with nr 2. It's not too warm (which happens most often) and not pink at all. It looks super natural on me and has a decent coverage. But not too heavy or caky! Also! This look so good for so long! I had plans during the day, went to a concert and sweated so much from dancing at the afterparty. When I got home my face still looked so fresh. Consider my mind blown by this foundation.

More than I expected.
I am a foundation gypsy. I have a hard time finding the best foundation that suits me. This Hourglass foundation also has pros and cons all over the world, but the finish has exceeded my expectations. It has good coverage, and even with this coverage, my face was kept moist all day long, and my makeup didn't come off. It's a pretty good foundation. I ordered the 1.5 color and it's a bit whitish but acceptable.

Weightless foundation that provides natural finish with medium coverage. It sits beautifully on the skin without looking heavy and plays well with SPF and other makeup. It photograps nicely as well. On the down side it is rather pricey but Hourglass is a pricey brand.

Excellent coverage with the natural blurring effect of the ambient collection
I've been on the hunt for a new foundation for a while. And whilst Hourglass foundations haven't worked for me in the past, I thought I'd give this a try as I'm a devotee of the Ambient Finishing Powders. What can I say? It's a great foundation and I am very happy I gave this a try. I'm approximately an NC15 and use Shade 2, which is a great match. This is a very pigmented foundation. I can easily do my entire face with 1 pump! Although Hourglass sells a brush with this foundation, I prefer application with a makeup sponge. I've tried both and brush is fine but I still find the best effect is achieved through a sponge. The coverage IS lighter, so if you prefer more coverage a brush should suffice. It doesn't sink in my fine lines or into pores, it has good staying power (at least 6-8 hrs with Milk hydro grip underneath). It gives a natural luminosity and generally perfects the skin. Hard to beat.

Shade 2 is yellow toned but dark for very fair skin. I have to mix it in with a lighter foundation. But overall it's a lovely foundation. It has a satin finish, is full coverage and looks natural.
