Luxurious Hydration — But a Bit Rich for Milia-Prone Skin
The Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Oil-Infused Serum delivers exactly what it promises: deep, lasting hydration. Its unique oil-and-water formula works synergistically to provide 24-hour moisture, leaving my skin visibly plumper while soothing dryness and flakiness. After each use, my complexion looks healthy, supple, and glowing, and the serum sits beautifully both on its own and under makeup. Despite containing oils, the formula absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving a smooth, non-sticky finish that layers easily with other skincare products. Beyond hydration, I’ve also noticed an improvement in skin texture — fewer small bumps and an overall silkier surface. That said, my milia-prone skin doesn’t love it as much as I do. While it worked wonders at first, over time the oil phase seemed to contribute to clogged areas, as heavier creams and oil-based products often prevent my skin from shedding naturally. Although the serum is described as lightweight and non-greasy, the two-phase oil component can still feel too rich for those with similar concerns. To adapt, I’ve adjusted my technique: I now apply it to slightly damp skin, which helps it absorb better and prevents it from sitting on the surface, and I use it mainly on drier areas while avoiding spots prone to milia, like around my eyes. Bottom line: This is a beautifully formulated serum that delivers hydration, glow, and comfort, but if you’re prone to milia like me, you may need to tweak how and where you use it. As for me, I’ll keep enjoying its benefits — and leave the milia management to my dermatologist.
