Which scent are you adding your space?
Designed to complement their bestselling hand wash, Earl of East's Japanese Bathing Ritual Hand Balm boasts a nourishing blend of essential oils and conditioning butters to cloak your hands in a silken, heavenly scented veil of hydration. Available in two therapeutic aromas, the only hard part is picking your favourite...
Taking its name from the Japanese word for hot spring and emulating the very same sense of serenity that makes the onsen a cultural tradition, the Onsen scent profile has an uplifting medley of peppermint, eucalyptus and neroli that alludes to the relaxing and rejuvenating qualities of the practice. The Shinrin Yoku literally forest bath in Japanese scent is an ode to the practice of disconnecting from our fast-paced world, being in nature and absorbing the peaceful atmosphere of the woods. It has an earthy profile of cedarwood, black pepper and oakmoss that conjures the image of a forest floor after the early morning rain abates.

Onsen is basically a lavender lotion
So first: this is a lotion, not a balm. Do not expect a thick-ish texture, this “balm” is very liquid. The bottle sits nicely on any shelf -it's elegant-, and the lotion itself is for me hydrating enough but for a day hand cream (I have a thicker one for the night). Being this liquid it's the one I use during the day after washing my hands. I can apply it while I'm working with the computer as it is not sticky, but I have very dry skin so it might not sink as fast for everyone. And yet, my skin does feel hydrated after using it. Hence the two stars. What I do NOT like at all is that this lotion smells solely of lavender. And not a nice natural lavender, but sort of a synthetic one. And check where lavender oil is in the ingredient list! I know lavender is overpowering but really, if your lotion (again, not balm), smells like this, do write it on your label because some of us do not like lavender at all. It’s described as a forest bath with peppermint, eucalyptus and neroli. No forest here, this is only lavender. So get it only if you really really like the smell of lavender. Forget the rest. Only lavender here.

unique smell but a bit too runny
I like the smell because it’s very unique and even though it’s hydrating and absorbs reasonably well, its a little runnier then i like. on the plus side, the runny consistency means the bottle empties fully, unlike a lot of thicker creams in bottles with pumps, so there’s no wastage

Very disappointing
I purchased this big bottle for soaking my hands and I am really disappointed by the formula. It is not hydrating at all and the smells is a bit weird, not my favorite smell combo. Won't repurchase.

Worth the try!
This is now my favorite candle! it has a warm mint scent and it's nice to have it burning when I take shower or read a book or study.
