I thought, after seeing so many ads, that the glow was for a reason other than the mask being saturated with something greasy. The shiny layer is some kind of oil... so after every oil application, my skin glows... I took the mask apart and pressed it in, and there's some oil there... I don't know if it has any long-term benefits, but it's useful if you want to quickly improve your skin's condition. A plus is that it doesn't strip the skin when you remove it like other peel-off products and doesn't irritate my very reactive skin. I was afraid I'd turn red after removing it, but nothing like that happened.
