Scent and nostalgia often go hand-in-hand (smell has the strongest connection to memory than any other sense) and Le Chèvrefeuille evokes perfumer Camille Goutal’s childhood in Provence. Whilst playing in the garden with her 13 cousins, they would make and wear crowns of chèvrefeuille (honeysuckle) as they played 'princesses' and this perfume evokes the smooth and slightly herbaceous bouquet of this gorgeous flower. There are also hints of jasmine and lemon tree bud, for a delicate freshness that makes for a seriously addictive fragrance.
Annick Goutal fragrances are the epitome of effortless French glamour and Le Chèvrefeuille is no exception. Based around the honeysuckle that grew in the gardens of Provence where Camille Goutal grew up – this scent is a ‘soliflore’, a type of fragrance that evokes the essence of a single flower. It’s a fresh and airy number with notes of jasmine, lemon tree petitgrain, imbuing it with the cheeriness of a sunny day in June. The scent comes housed in one of Annick Goutal’s signature vintage-style bottles complete with hand-tied gold ribbon.
