Gift cards don't work like real money
We had a really disappointing experience with Cult Beauty gift cards and want to warn others. We specifically asked friends and family to give our daughter gift cards for her birthday, assuming they would work like money (as advertised "redeemable against anything" and "treat like cash"). Unfortunately, that’s not how they actually work. In reality: Gift cards can only be applied as a "discount code" You cannot combine them with other promotions (including first-order discounts) They don’t count towards free shipping thresholds They must be used in a single transaction Because of these limitations, we effectively lost around €50 (about 20% of the value), which is extremely frustrating given that these cards were purchased 1:1 for real money. What’s most disappointing is that this isn’t made clear at the point of purchase — the product is presented like a normal gift card, but behaves more like a restricted promo code. Customer support was not willing to offer any solution or goodwill gesture. We would strongly recommend NOT buying gift cards from Cult Beauty unless you fully understand these restrictions. Very disappointing experience.

Bought this as a gift for a friend overseas. They never even received it. Save yourselves a pretty penny, don't buy this nonsense. Also no matter what design you choose, they'll set your order to the standard red-design. So zero benefits to this.
