Can you imagine a world without Benefit? The iconic brand
has slowly but surely become a household name, its make up products a staple in
just about every make up bag, and its eye-catching packaging the stuff of
Benefit was founded back in 1976, when identical twins Jean
and Jane Ford flipped a coin to decide whether to open a casserole café or a
make up shop. Thankfully the latter was the winner, and The Face Place was
established. The aim was to offer women the chance to buy skin care and
cosmetics that mimicked the style of big label brands, but with a much smaller

In 2008, the twins’ daughters and nieces Maggie & Annie
joined the ranks and have been helping to spread the legacy – after all, they
