It’s time you learned to love your naked face

According to our recent poll, 1 in 4 of us wouldn’t leave home without make up – quite a staggering stat when you think about it? It may be the case that the quarter in question are simply committed to looking ‘their best’ but, we think the reason could be a bit deeper…

Confidence – or lack therefore – is key. How many of you feel deflated when faced with unwelcome eruptions, or fret about signs of fine lines? We’ve squandered too much time resenting our pores and disguising our pimples, forgetting that breakouts are normal and life is too short to be wasted pursuing out-dated (and airbrushed!) perceptions of beauty.

Imperfections aren’t a thing. Why should we feel like we’re ‘lesser’ because of a spot that’s beyond our control? No one ought to feel ashamed to showcase their complexion which is why we’re determined to celebrate skin and its wonderful idiosyncrasies. Pigmentation. Wrinkles. Redness. Pores. The list of things we whinge about goes on (and on… and on), which is why we’re determined to quash common stigmas and trigger a shift in the dialogue.

So, to all those who’ve ever felt ‘meh’ without make up, it’s time to change the shame and insecurity we feel surrounding skin. We’re on a mission to celebrate realness, provide education and help you feel proud to go make up-less.

And, we’re putting ourselves in the hot seat (and revelling in extra precious minutes in our beds). Join #TeamCultBeauty as we back away from the base and re-learn how to love our bare faces. No foundation. No filter. Just skin in its natural, beautiful glory.

This. Is. Skin.
