How To

The Ultimate Two-step Deep Cleansing Ritual

“Correct cleansing is the key to great skin” says MV Organic Skincare’s founder Sharon McGlinchey, which is why we’re excited to reveal the double cleansing ritual she swears by. “First of all, it’s important to eliminate surface make up, pore-clogging oils and pollutants before deep-cleansing the skin itself. The initial step clears the way for the second-phase to do the ‘work’. Packed with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich plant and essential oils, my ‘Ultimate Cleansing Duo’ is the perfect cleansing and decongesting treatment for virtually all skin types, conditions and ages.”

Sharon recommends you treat your skin to this indulgent, two-step cleansing process at least three times a week; “It works wonders for tired, dehydrated and sun-damaged complexions, and also acts as a balancing treatment for oily, congested and pimple-prone skins.”

{You will need}

MV Organic Skincare’s {Gentle Cream Cleanser} and {9 Oil Cleanser Tonic} – as well as a soft muslin cloth.

{Step one}

To thoroughly cleanse and gently exfoliate, smooth 2 – 3 pumps of MV’s {Gentle Cream Cleanser} over the face and neck then, with dampened fingertips, work over the skin in circular movements for no more than 15 – 20 seconds. Now hold a hot muslin cloth against the skin for a slow count of 5. At this point take a long, slow and deep, deep breath before wiping away excess cleanser. Repeat hot-cloth compressing 2 – 4 times.

{Step two}

Next, massage 6 – 8 drops of the MV {9 Oil Cleansing Tonic} over face and neck for 1 – 2 minutes, concentrating on areas of congestion. To speed up the absorption of this magical oil, hold a warm/hot dampened muslin cloth over the face for a long slow count of 5. DO NOT remove the oil, simply compress 2 – 4 times and allow to infuse skin completely. For best results, perform the MV signature two-step cleansing ritual three times weekly in the evening.
