Finish: Using the rounded end of Ambient Lighting Edit Brush, dust Ambient Lighting Powder all over the face to diffuse and enhance the complexion.
Bronze: Using the tapered end of the Ambient Lighting Edit Brush, brush bronzer along the temples, hollows of the cheeks, and jawline for warmth and definition.
Blush: Use the slanted end of Ambient Lighting Edit Brush II, apply Ambient Lighting Blush to the apples of the cheek.
Highlight: Using the tapered end of the Ambient Lighting Edit Brush II, apply Strobe Lighting Powder to the high points of the face - top of cheeks, bridge of nose, and brow bone.

Better for lighter skin tones
I love a good Hourglass palette, although despite being advertised for light to medium skin tones, this one seems more suited to light skin tones. Still a nice palette, regardless.

The deer palette
This is my first Hourglass palette, it's the first time I believe the version is very fair-light skin friendly. Be aware that it is very light so it might not suit light-medium skin tones, but because of that it looks very natural on the skin. I do think the quality is great

Deer - Finally a palette for cool neutral light skin!
Every year I wait for these palettes and I always get really excited about them because the first one I bought was a piece of make up perfection that I have chased ever since. My favourite palette is Ghost from 2019 because it's light and cool-neutral toned. It has my favourite bronzer shade (which they never repeated) and my favourite blush of all time- Sublime flush. That blush is the reason I'm writing this review because I think the crucial thing about this palette is it's tone, that we rarely get from Hourglass, and the last time I saw it was in my favourite Ghost palette: Deer palette has a peachy blush that is basically the peachy version of Sublime flush ( it has cool and almost subtle lavander-pink sheen). It's not the same as the last years peachy blush because that one had a very warm shine to it and it was more orange than ''peachy'', so very warm in color and in undertone. Nothing in Deer palette is too warm, this palette is really neutral and cool toned. Finishing powders are neutral - beigey, the first one is lighter, yellowish and the second one is beige, I would describe it as Dim light for pale neutral to cool toned people. Highlighter is basically a more illuminating finishing powder (really subtle, beige with light peachy champagne shine) and gives a very elegant sheen. Again, for me it's like a finishing powder on steroids not really a highlighter and I love it. The bronzer is a perfect, light, rose toned cool to neutral bronzer, it's not as good as the one from the Ghost palette but it's the one I use daily and I love it. The blushes are beautiful, and so different from the last years ''light palette''. In Dragon palette there was the orange with warm sheen and the neutral rosy pink that leans warm on cool toned people (like a lighter version of mood exposure that is BROWN on me). In Deer palette, peachy blush has a very cool toned sheen to it, like I said it's like a peachy sister of Sublime flush. It's more pigmented than the pink one. The pink one is matte, light cool toned pink, it's not as opaque and it is not as easy to build up but both of these are perfect for me, for everyday and for special occasion. I don't like neutral colours and I don't like warm colors on me, so most of the palettes are usually a miss for me (the biggest fail was the Elephant palette that I simply can not wear, the bronzer looks like a mustard on me and the blushes are just awful). If you are cool to neutral, pale and like to wear vibrant but not too opaque colours and if you like Sublime Flush you will love this palette. I bought a lot of these palettes throughout the years and this one is really special in my opinion, I would buy every shade in full size and I will cherish these blushes. I tried all light palettes from 2019 and Hourglass palettes are usually warm and nothing comes close to this one for cool toned people. I love Hourglass textures but it's just not worth the money if colours don't work for you, so if you've been waiting for something neutral-cool, I think this is it!

Beautiful palette
This is the first Hourglass product that I have ever tried and I am happy with it. Both blushes and bronzer in this palette start off as a subtle hint of color when applied, but can be built up. All powders are silky, blend into the skin, they look natural and give the skin a nice subtle glow. Deer palette is very light, I recommend it only to those who are fair. I medium and dark skin it won’t be visible, especially the blushes.
