Rose Splendide is a ‘soliflore’ scent - designed to evoke the smell of a single flower as perceived by the perfumer. As opposed to a heady, sugary-sweet rose, this evokes the fresh, green scent of a rose garden after an April shower. Infused with magnolia, pear and vanilla, this definitely adds in interesting new dimension to what we would traditionally consider a rose scent. Annick Goutal were one of the very first ‘niche’ fragrance houses and this gorgeous yet unusual rose is one of their most unique and dazzling creations to date.

Rose Splendide is part of Annick Goutal’s Les Soliflore Limited Editions collection, with each fragrance representing a single flower. This scent takes the traditional rose scent and turns it on its head, evoking not just the rich blooms of the flower, but also the fresh greenness of the stalk and the leaves after a downpour.
