Our favourite fall lip look comes courtesy of Spring – a blend of Topshop’s ‘just caught snogging’ glossy red, and Dolce & Gabanna’s classic blurred-out berry. At Topshop, the coolest young Brit models-of-the-moment – Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Samantha Rollinson – all lined up to have their lipstick smudged with fluffy blending brushes to create the youthful (slightly naughty) slant on statement kissers; where as at Dolce, girls had sheer juicy lip stains patted onto pouts, which were then finished with a fingerprint of burgundy.
A sexily low maintenance way to wear a daring lip, apply OCC’s {Cosmetic Colour Pencil} in Black Dahlia (stopping before you reach the lip line) and blend it with your fingers to create a ‘gorged on blackberries’ effect. Or adopt a balm/stain hybrid, such as Kaplan MD’s {Lip 20 Moisture Therapy} in Sheer Blackberry Shine, or Jouer Cosmetics gorgeous {Lip Sheer} in shade Positano – a slightly glossy tint that needs no mirror (and helps protect against cold-weather elements). And if your lips are slightly on the thin side, use a dot of deep plum gloss to enhance fullness; Belmacz’s {Gold Leaf Lipgloss} is the perfect jewel-toned cherry hue (with gold leaf flecks, because… why not?).
