Alexa Chung’s Cult Beauty Picks

Undisputed ‘Queen of Cool’, everything Alexa touches turns to ice (ice baby) – from those studded Valentino flats, to her signature cut-off dungarees – there’s nothing this girl can’t make covetable. We were therefore delighted (but not in the least bit surprised) to discover some Cult Beauty stalwarts amidst her must-have stash… so read on to discover which products she pilfers (her words, not ours), and which ‘does everything’ balm she is learning to love.

Alexa Chung's Cult Beauty Picks

‘I do like travelling, because I like to steal the tiny bottles of whatever’s up at the hotels [naughty]. {Aesop} is the best score, but I love the way the products smell at Hôtel Costes in Paris’. We love it too Alexa, and for all those who aren’t kleptomaniacs/have a conscience/don’t have a gazillion euro to throw at Paris’ most decadent accommodation, you can shop Costes’ heavenly-scented range right {here} >>

‘I love taking baths. Aesop {Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser} is my favourite – isn’t it absurd that something like a fancy body wash can make you think you’re an adult?’ – absurd, but very true (I like to put the bottles out ‘for best’ so people think I’m ‘proper’).

Dry-skinned Alexa – ‘My skin is drier than the Sahara desert – it’s like sandpaper and the outside of a cactus had sex and made my skin’ (#TMI) – has ‘just started trying out the Yu-Be {Moisturizing Skin Balm} and it’s working really well. It stinks – it smells like Tiger Balm – but it does keep you hydrated for the whole day’ – which is no mean feat, when you’re suffering from desert/cactus flesh.

…and we also spotted (eagle eyed beauty snoopers that we are) a bottle of Caudalie’s {Beauty Elixir} – which we’re guessing the Chungster relies on to keep her (beautiful) face feeling comfortably soft and hydrated when nobody’s on standby with ‘a vat of oil that [she] can dunk her head into’.
