When it comes to holiday packing, hands up if you find yourself stuffing clothes into the gaps between bottles of sunscreen, shampoo and a bulging make up bag? (Guilty as charged).

Despite our best efforts, we always end up lobbing 'can't live without' potions in at the last minute, which means we're not only left frantically forcing our (optimistically small) suitcases shut with much sitting and stamping (and puffing and panting), but that we also get the dreaded 'excess baggage' face from disapproving airport people (who then steal all our holiday spending money). Waaah.

Which is why this year, we're determined to do things differently, and have put together this edit of multi-tasking miracles, which work hard for their space in our wheel-alongs (which we'll promptly fill up with bikinis and sandals #obvs).

Nuxe {Huile Prodigieuse Or} comes in an adorable travel-friendly size, and has seemingly endless beauty benefits. The perfect skin enhancer, it looks phenomenal on tanned shins and shoulders, can be mixed with face cream to enhance your glow come sun-down or applied to cupid's bow, cheekbones and brow bones for a slightly glossy highlight. It's also ideal for nourishing sun-soaked tresses - separating strands with a shot of shine - and, it smells so heavenly there's no need for perfume.

Cleanser, moisturiser and primer, Embryolisse {Lait-Creme Concentre} successfully dissolves your make up (just use a damp muslin to remove it), then works brilliantly as a light-weight daily hydrator - absorbing quickly to keep skin nourished whilst creating a smooth, 'sticky' base for make up.

Make up usually takes a bit of a backseat once our skin has lost its 'glare', but there are few things more flattering than a hint of dewy tint. Rituel de Fille's aptly named {Inner Glow Crème Pigment} comes in a wardrobe of wearable shades which can be worn individually, or mixed together to create a bespoke summer colour. Plus it's slimline, so fits neatly in clutch bags come cocktail time.

Davines {NaturalTech Well-Being Conditioner} not only un-does the damage wrought by exposure to sun, sea and sangria - hydrating and detangling hair with a nourishing blend of botanical extracts - but also makes a great alternative to shaving foam.

To counteract shine whilst boosting skin's defences, Peter Thomas Roth's {Instant Mineral SPF 45} is a sheer, translucent powder in a sleek and convenient pre-loaded brush. Just click the bottom to dispense the product, then dust over face to mop up excess oil whilst creating a barely-there barrier between skin and the harmful effects of UV.

And finally, the 3 Custom Color {Clarifying Pencil} is the definition of 'one-size-fits-all' - on the spot cover-up, concealer, lip definer and eye brightener - this is essential for disguising holiday hangovers (not that I've ever experienced one) and helping you fake wide-awake in an instant.
