London-born supermodel Jourdan Dunn is flawless, so when she told Into the Gloss that she reads this very blog (!!), and swears by several CB favourites to keep that to-die-for complexion in tip-top condition, we felt flattered (*blushes*) and obviously, had to share the details of her daily skin care menu.
Jourdan’s go-to cleanser is (understandably) Emma Hardie’s best-loved {Moringa Cleansing Balm} – a long-standing industry winner, which, in JD’s own words “is really good and just melts on the skin”. This is followed by {Pixi}’s {Glow Tonic}; “Cult Beauty’s blog raved about it and Caroline Hirons’ raved about it, so I was like, ‘I’ve got to try it!’ Now I’m hooked! I just love the feeling that it leaves on my skin. It exfoliates as well, so I feel like it’s really doing its job”… and, at only £18, it’s totally affordable for us mere mortals.
Totally clued-up (Jourdan does her research), the toning step is followed with an on-trend essence, then a vitamin C serum. At the moment, REN’s {Radiance Perfecting Serum} is in the hot seat; “It just adds extra vibrancy to the skin, like a booster to brighten up your complexion. When I’m traveling on planes a lot, my skin can look really tired and dull, so I like to add vitamin C in to fix that”, then, it’s all about the {Good Genes} (as if Jourdan doesn’t have more than her fair share…)
“I use {Good Genes} as a second serum. You can also do it as a treatment mask […] I tried it once and it did make my skin look and feel amazing.”
Then it’s on to moisturiser. Jourdan “tops [everything] off with Zelens’ {Hydro Shiso Balancing Moisturiser}. It’s light and gives a nice finish.”
Jourdan also confessed to liking a lot of masks – from sheet masks to moisturising treatment creams, for her, it’s all about hydration to counter the damage wrought by non-stop travelling. When in New York, she visits {Ling} to have a full cleanse and oxygenating facial, then leaves with her Oxygen Recovery Mask – formulated to maintain precious moisture.
