Ling Skin Care At Home Facial

ling_at_home_facial_kitIf Nu-Labour’s mantra was ‘education, education, education’, Ling Chan’s would be ‘hydration, hydration, hydration’ – every step of the legendary New York facialist’s At Home Facial involves giving thirsty skin some serious moisture so it doesn’t lose essential oils while being cleansed. She’s spent years in the lab creating the ultimate serums with active ingredients that will tackle any skin complaint, from sun damage and dryness to wrinkles and breakouts. In the travel-sized kit you’ll find everything you need for a month’s worth of facials (that’s one a week) plus daily skin maintenance.

The kit contains: Purifying Facial Cleanser, Herbal Clay Clarifying Mask, Replenishing Hydrator, Elastin Collagen Cream, Moisture Plenish Solution, Spotlight Papaya Resurface Peel, Ginseng Moisture Mask, all of which are sold separately on the site too.

And Cult Beauty users are already fans of the kit – Jill from Northern Ireland tried it and said: “The cleanser is so light on your skin, non-drying and leaves you looking so clean and fresh and the hydration toners finish the job… The moisture mask and herbal clay mask are all so easy to use and when you follow the regime your skin actually does look like you have been to a spa. Top marks.”

Step by step guide to the Ling Weekly At-home facial

CLEANSE & PREPARE

Apply Purifying Facial Cleanser. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat skin dry. This cleanser effectively cleans and balances the skin without stripping natural oils.

PROTECT SKIN

Apply Elastin Collagen so heat will not over-dry the skin.

EXFOLIATE

Apply Spotlight Papaya Resurface Peel to face as a mask . Exfoliation is necessary to remove excess dirt, oil, bacteria buildup and debris.

STEAM

Soak a clean washcloth in hot water, wring out and cover your face. Be careful as it is hot. Do not cover your mouth. Leave on for 3 minutes. Steam helps activate the papaya enzymes to dissolve the top layers of the skin and open the pores, providing a more effective and deeper exfoliation.

MASSAGE

When washcloth cools down, leave Peel on. Using your fingers, gently massage face in a circular, upward motion. Pay special attention to the T-zone and areas of concern. Remove remaining peel. Massage helps to stimulate circulation and improve facial muscle tone .

REFINE PORES

Apply Herbal Clay Clarifying Mask to skin and leave on for 5-7 minutes. Remove with tepid water. Used for centuries, this mask helps to detoxify pores, remove impurities, and draw out excess oil .

HYDRATE

Apply Replenishing Hydrator to face with hands in an upward sweeping motion. Saturates and locks in essential moisture deep in the skin, preparing it for the following steps .

SOLVE

Apply Moisture Plenish to help calm skin and hydrate the skin. To target specific skin concerns, you may apply the appropriate LING Solution here.

RENEW

Apply Ginseng Therapy Moisture Mask to stimulate and oxygenate skin cells , helping to seal in the above products. Leave on for at least 15 minutes then peel or remove with a damp towel.
