The Latest ‘It’ Lipsticks Are Here

Huda Beauty’s coveted {Liquid Matte Lipsticks} have arrived at CB Towers *trumpet fanfare* – the most talked about thing to hit the beauty blogosphere since filler injections – but far less pricey and painful! In 16 glorious shades, they’ve caused somewhat of a make up phenomenon, with millions of beauty fans clamouring to get a their (perfectly manicured) hands on one.

As many of you will know, their creator Huda Kattan is a make up artist/award-winning beauty blogger/businesswoman extraordinaire, who has racked up a bigger Instagram following than Obama with her addictive beauty snaps and funny, friendly tutorials. She arguably helped define the Instagram make up aesthetic: think matte {lips}, sleek contouring, bold, statement brows and lashes that go on forever. Indeed, Huda’s first ventures into the beauty industry were a range of false lashes before delving into the arena of liquid lipsticks.

When we talk about the formula being impressive, it’s up there with Olympian gymnast Simone Biles doing double-twist backflips in Rio (seriously, is that girl on springs…?). Despite creating a matte finish, this is non-drying and super light with an incredibly rich pigment. You apply it like a gloss and dries to a bold hue that will cling to your lips the way Rose in Titanic did to that wardrobe door*– with no streaks or smudging to dampen your flygirl demeanour. There are plenty of nourishing ingredients in there too, so your lips will have no cause for complaint.

What of the actual colours themselves? Think Valley of the Dolls meets Shirley Manson – from pretty pepped up pinks and mauves, together with more vampish, night-time hues. There are shades to match Huda Beauty’s {Lip Contour} {lip pencil set}, such as the pinky-nude ‘Bombshell’ and a ravishing reddish brown ‘Vixen’, together with seven new arrivals, including a retro 90s-brown ‘Spice Girl’ and the raspberry delight ‘Icon’. So if you’re after a statement lip to take your make up to the next level, you know what to do… get them before they’re gone!
