Offering gentle – yet extraordinary – exfoliation with lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) this lightweight serum stimulates cell regeneration to reduce pigmentation, diminish acne scars and age spots and improve overall skin texture. Don’t be perturbed by the irritation often associated with acid use – The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid 10% + HA contains purified Tasmanian pepperberry to reduce signs of inflammation and soothe the sensitivity sometimes caused by exfoliation. Also enhanced with heroic hydrating ingredient hyaluronic acid, this super-charged serum strengthens the lipid barrier to improve the skin’s ability to attract and retain moisture.
Apply once per day, ideally in the evening. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

For this price range its great, bud I don’t see much difference between this acid and some other acid in The Ordinary product line.

This was way too strong for my skin which is sensitive. The day after l used it, l realized that my skin was beetroot red. And yes, l had applied sunscreen on a cloudy day. I now mix it every second evening with serum to dilute it and that has done the trick. But l wouldn't recommend something that is this extreme so it's a no from me.

Excellent product. Didn't cause any irritation (except when I had a scratch on my face that I didn't notice 🙃) . Really helped with my acne without overly drying out my skin (Have dry skin). Used daily and regularly it helps a lot . I hv used it in combination with other products for acne treatment including glycolic acid toner, retinol and only occasional niacinamide+zinc. Regular moisturising is a must, especially with this product .
