The bed of nails has been used by Indian mystics for centuries in the practice of healing and meditation and now it's been re-invented with a Scandinavian twist to give you a whole range of benefits, from soothing sleeplessness and easing stress to helping you re-balance after a long haul flight, alleviating aches and pains and even restoring your skin's luminosity (the spikes help the body rid itself of toxins and increase blood flow, which gives you a healthy, lit-from-within glow).
The Bed of Nails Acupressure Pillow is covered with over 2,100 non-toxic plastic 'nails' that help release endorphins (the body's natural 'happy hormone') and oxytocin, to alleviate tension and leave you feeling calm and relaxed yet energised (you can be both at the same time)! The perfect way to lessen stubborn aches and pains, especially if you suffer from a stiff neck or knotted shoulders, this is also excellent for those who have trouble sleeping, easing you into a deep and restorative slumber.
Lay the Bed of Nails pillow on the floor or a mattress and slowly lower yourself onto it. Lay a sheet over the pillow until your skin gets used to the spikes. Initially lie on the Bed of Nails pillow for 10 - 15 mins, then build up to 20 - 30mins. Use as often as you need - preferably daily.
Don't be alarmed if your skin feels warm and tingly, and it's perfectly safe to fall asleep for a while. If you are uncertain, always consult your doctor. Keep away from children 5 years of age and younger
Leaning against it (rather than laying on top of the mat and pillow) is a lighter way to use Bed of Nails while you acclimatise (you put less weight on the spikes when you do). Place the mat/pillow at the back of your sofa, bed or armchair to experience the benefits while building up your tolerance.
The nails are made of 100% recycled non-toxic ABS plastic, the textile is cotton. The Bed of Nails should not be used in case of skin disease, haemophilia or the intake of anticoagulants.

Need to use this more
I have the full mat and bought this to go with it. Its awesome and 20 mins of lying on the two will relax you so well. My problem is I keep forgetting to use it
Report this reviewnice pillow
Bought this together with the mat. Is a sturdy pillow, well made and easy to use. With the mat can be used as pillow, on its own I find using it for my legs, back (sitting on sofa). The pressure from the plastic needles is not hurting or anything...is more about allowing the time to relax and take a break, doing something for yourself.
Report this reviewRELAX
It is light, good for relax, after 3-5 min I fell asleep on it. I had use it directly on skin. Recommended for sensitive people or for hot summer. I think "white lotus" is for two point sharper.
Report this reviewGreat relaxing find
I got this to help with my migraines and even though I'm not sure if that has happened yet since I just got it, it's very relaxing and it helps soothe soreness. highly recommend.
Report this reviewVery good pillow
I use the acupressue mat and bought this as an addition, since I loved the mat so much. The combination is just wonderful, however I also use this pillow on it's own, either as a neck support/acupressure when I'm sitting on the couch or in bed. I could do with a bit more pressure than it offers, yet it is still very good and I highly recommend it, especially if you are already using the mat.
Report this reviewAbsolutely in love
I'm actually a huge fan of all The Bed of Nails products, and this pillow is just as amazing as the rest of them.
Report this reviewGreat for stressful days
When I've had a stressful day, I like to lay down on this for a few minutes. I can actually feel the stress pressure go away from my neck/upped back. Also helps me calm down a migraine attack. Only thing that kept me from giving it 5/5 is that I'd like a bit more pressure.
Report this reviewGreat
Really great for neck pain. And for the feet - while sitting put your feet on it and just move them a bit, it is so relaxing.
