We believe that everbody is a somebody and we all have the right to be clean because our physical health, mental health and wellbeing depends on it.
Our story: while filming a report on homelessness, journalist Sali hughes spotted one lone box of razors, deodorants, tampons and toothpaste, donated by charity workers themselves to help clients feel presentable for job interviews and health appointments or simply to feel clean. Shocked by the plight of those lacking the access to everyday basics, Sali phoned friend (and PR powerhouse) Jo Jones and 48 hours later, Beauty Banks was born.
Our collab. To mark the start of a powerful partnership, we donated £15/€17 from the sale of every Cult Beauty Calendar 2020 to Beauty Banks. These vital donations helped to distribute over 200(!) mixed boxes of toiletries in the run up to Christmas and beyond: supporting over 130 separate charities in the process and helping those in need have access to the essentials that we take for granted.
"We are blown collaborated with Cult Beauty on their iconic Advent Calendar. It's an exciting and meaningful partnership between Beauty Banks and Cult Beauty, forged after much discussion around our shared values and desire to harness the power of beauty for good.
