  • Daniel Sandler Sculpt and Slim-Effect

Image 1 of 1

‘The basic principle of sculpting involves highlighting and contouring the face. Therefore, everything you highlight ‘comes forward’ and everything you contour ‘stays in the background’. So in short, you want to highlight your good features and contour those you want to hide”, says Daniel Sandler – pro make up maestro-turned-cosmetic creator. A fundamental piece of kit, Sculpt and Slim is contouring for beginners; with just two shades to grapple with, it’s virtually impossible to go far wrong… (honest)! Daniel Sandler’s capsule collection of hardworking, professional quality products is on a meteoric rise. A firm favourite amongst bloggers, editors and industry insiders, his make up is designed – and proven – to withstand the scrutiny of HD camera lenses, and stay put under melting, studio lights, whilst being sufficiently user-friendly (and affordable) for even make up novices.
Apply the dark shade under cheekbones then give cheeks an extra lift by sweeping the highlighter on the highest part of the cheekbones. Try the angled Small Powder brush (sold separately) for a fool-proof application. Lastly apply your contour shade [the darkest one] to the following areas- the temples, along the hairline, the sides of your cheeks and down the jaw. By deepening these areas, you are making them visually recede and your face to appear more narrow and oval Beauty Extra: Don't stop there! Sculpt and Slim is great for adding definition to collar bones and cleavage.
Developed by celebrated make up artist (and Cult Beauty expert) Daniel Sandler, Sculpt and Slim is an easy-to-use duo of buttery soft pressed powders for quick and convenient contouring. Perfect for creating the illusion of killer cheekbones, as well as for streamlining larger-than-you’d-like noses and slimming rounded faces, the combination of olive-toned brown and light-reflective beige-taupe powders work to highlight your ‘assets’ and emphasise recesses, to make you look a little more ‘3D’. Just blend the darkest shade beneath your cheekbones (suck your cheeks in a little if you’re struggling to find them), then give your cheeks a subtle lift by dusting the illuminator on the highest part. Finish with a subtle sweep of contour on the temples, hairline, sides of the cheeks and along the jawline… and don’t stop there! Sculpt and Slim is also great for adding definition to your collarbones (and cleavage).

    The best contour powder!
    4 out of 5 stars
Great product when used with the Daniel Sandler contour brush! However it oxidises when used over liquid foundation quite quickly but easy to fix.
