August Cult Beauty Favourites

I feel like August was a skin care success story - I've established a 'regime' (whoop! #grownup) that I'm very happy with, and it's incredibly good looking (endless Insta-opportunities).

A long-term 'double cleansing' devotee, I'm besotted with {Ceramic Slip} - it looks like green slime but smells reassuringly herbal, and is a gorgeous 'first step 'cleanser. I'm probably doing it wrong, but I apply it directly to my dry, still-made up face - massaging gently with damp fingertips to create a light lather (it foams very slightly), before removing with a muslin cloth (Emma Hardie's {Face Cloths} are uh-mazing). It's got clarifying French clay to get rid of shiz, for a really fresh and 'squeaky' visage.

I follow up with Aurelia's {Miracle Cleanser} - about which I am evangelical. It feels like whipped butter - really thick and rich and unctuous - and has the most intoxicating smell. Like really really clean clothes - you know when your mum has done you washing and it's just... better? Yeah, like that. It's sort of eucalpytus-y and lovely - I 'tszuj' it all over my face with {Foreo} then rinse with warm water to leave my skin 'plumped up' and glowing.

In the morning, I've been massaging two pumps of African Botanics {Neroli Infused Marula Oil} into just-cleansed skin. This is brimming with antioxidants which I'm relying on (quite heavily) to fight the good fight against London's stagnant (probably toxic) air and keep my skin youthful for evaaaaaaaaah. With a sweet - but not saccharine - scent, this gorgeous golden gloop absorbs readily, and grants a dewy base for make up. It's stunning.

And for bedtime, I'm ALL ABOUT Sunday Riley's beautiful blue {Luna}. This oil is incredible - starring retinol and blue tansy, it helps to soften visibility of lines, battle blemishes, brighten dark spots, lighten post-pimple redness and quickly recapture lost radiance - all while I'm busily sleeping. It looks so fancy and the swish pipette sitch makes me feel like a scientist so... dreamy. I can definitely see a difference in the clarity and tone of my complexion - and I've used next to nothing; it may seem spenny but this lasts for aaaaages.

I'm sort of tanned (hallelujah!!) and in a bid to maximise the joys of melanin, I've been a-bronzing (something I tend to avoid). Laura Geller's {Bronze-n-Brighten} in shade 'Fair' is perfect for my current colouring - the pink-toned veins illuminate while the swirl of light and deep tan shades create an enviable, sunkissed warmth. On good skin days, I can use this without foundation - it's sort of magical; blurring imperfections to create a 'soft focus' effect. I have strong feelings for it - especially when dusted all over with LG's {Retractable Powder Brush}.
