Davines' For Wizards No 1 Finest Oil Non Oil is a brilliant frizz ease. Rather like sending your hair to a military academy this product tames all of the usual behavioural disorders that affect frizzy, fly-away hair. It is light enough to use on really fine hair, but effective enough to keep control of even the most mercurial mop. Truly Italian in terms of both quality and elegance, Davines is a family founded brand that formulate and make all their products in Italy using 30 years of experience.

This weirdly named product (sounds like a direct Italian translation to us!) is blended to create a multi-benefit, anti-static, styling and finishing cream. Ideal as a frizz ease, it contains sweet almond proteins to moisturise hair eliminating static, while the conditioning agents and resins provide heat protection, taming fly-aways without weighing hair down. The result is sleek, shiny tresses with a soft hold that lasts all day.

Use on wet or dry hair (wet hair is the easiest canvas to ensure even distribution). To protect from the heat of the blow-dryer, use on damp hair. Squeeze a few drops onto palms, rub hands together and thoroughly work through hair. TOP TIP: Less is more, you should set a little time aside to dry-run the product until you know the exact amount needed for your hair.

Oil Non Oil

The best product for my frizzy fine hair. Doesn't weigh hair down, and is long lasting. Lovely smell and you need only apply a tiny bit.

Curly Hair Saviour

I have coarse, thick curly hair - 2c and 3a - and yet I can stretch out my curls if I use a heavy, thick oil. This is perfect for touch ups and days two and three. Leaves a slight hold which is nice also. No water and stringy curls here... Love.

I have been using this product for years after trying every hair product for curly hair. It's brilliant and makes your hair feel very soft and accentuates the curls rather than make them frizzy....works for me!

Awesome Product

This is the second bottle I’ve bought of this which goes a long way to show how good I think it is! It’s great, very lightweight oil that I use to refresh my 2nd or 3rd-day natural curls. It moisturises my curls without weighing them down or leaving them greasy. I’ve used a lot of products over the years and this is one I am very happy with.

fantastic!

I have a naturally oily hair and washing it every morning. When following with a quick blow dry, no styling this product is great!!! Absolutely! Somehow my hair is not as oily as before and my lazy & quick blow dry has a way nicer shape! :) Love it.

Doesn't work for me

I am forever trying to find a product that tames frizz once hair is dry. Nothing works for me. This does absolutely nothing. I apply a generous amount it to dry hair and my hair appears to get even frizzier and sticky. If I apply a smaller amount it does nothing. Oh well.

This product is confusing...

But it sure does a great job keeping my hair looking great! I've used it in wet hair to leave and air dry or as a styling product before drying and I've also used it on dry hair to tackle frizz. Works a charm. Also the smell is creamy but fruity - divine! I've been getting so many compliments on the smell of my hair!

This is a DrillIant it on my thin frizzy product. I use it on my thin frizzy wavy hair and hair becomes instantly smoother and shinier. Not at all sticky. My husband and daughter like it too as it has a lovely feel and mild smell.
