{Caudalie's} skin care story begins in France in 1995 at the heart of a vineyard with a husband and wife, Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas. They believed, and still believe, that the grapevine and grapes contain exceptional powers for the skin, and since then they have been committed to using the very best ingredients to develop products that are not only effective but also natural and luxurious.

Harnessing the power of nature, Caudalie favoures natural active ingredients that respect both the environment and your skin. Their main source of inspiration is the grapevine and its grapes, and their skincare oils are extracted from fruits, flowers and leaves.

Caudalie has a commitment to complete transparency, and they’re open and honest about the fact that they do allow the use of synthetic ingredients when they are good and necessary - when omitting them would compromise the effectiveness and sensoriality of their products. Examples of these synthetic ingredients include preservatives, fragrances and sunscreens, whether you're looking for Caudalie {firming}, {hydration} or {anti-blemish} lines, we give you a full list of ingredients.

In 1999, Caudalie created the first Vinotherapie Spa in Bordeaux, France, at the heart of the vines of Château Smith Haut Lafitte. Since then, they’ve opened spas all over the world, from the UK right across to Canada, China and even Brazil.

Caudalie is committed to giving back to the earth a little of what it gives us each day. The company is a member of '1% for the Planet', giving 1% of its turnover to environmental associations that work within reforestation and tree protection. Caudalie also strongly believes that small gestures can make a difference - choosing FSC® certified paper and wood for packaging, recycling wastewater from their spas and using vegetable inks.
