I have had "rough lips my whole life which gets worse when using lipstick. This is the first balm which has completely changed my lips. I put it on my lips about 15 min before lipstick and throughout the day and now have fan lips. The reason for 4 stars is bad container, it is difficult to open as it keeps getting stuck.

This does nothing for my incredibly dry lips - it just sits on top of the dry skin and has a kind of pearlised sheen.

This lip balm is really nice - vanilla-ey scented, and really silky, it does give your lips a shine and lightens them slightly (bit like the effect of a sheer nude lip colour). They also feel hydrated for a lasting time. My only complaint is that the packaging is really poor, it feels / looks very cheap plus the screw-top lid is very difficult to open and keeps getting frustratingly stuck (at least in my case!). Shame.
