I bought this to sooth my muscles after exercise. I’ve given it a few tries now but my mind hasn’t changed: it stinks, it’s sticky, there’s nothing ’warming’ about it and as such it is overpriced. And it didn’t provide any noticeable relief.

I agree, it does have a rather unpleasant scent. It smells a bit like curry spice, which is positively delightful to eat but a bit off-putting in an ointment meant to be rubbed into and left on the skin. But that said, it works. Do I wish it smelt better? Yes. But after using it for over a year, I find it to be extremely effective. It has an almost analgesic result, and for me, it is equally as effective if not more so than most over-the-counter rubs. It lacks the hot/cold sensation you might find in products with menthol or camphor, but for a natural product, I find it gives absolutely remarkable effects. My muscles feel soothed as well as markedly less tense and less tight after just one treatment, with continued use bringing commiserate results - three nights of this and my neck/shoulder pain is usually taken care of!

I have tried this twice, cannot get over the smell. It clings until the next day, smells very strong and bad.

I really like the gentle herby smell of this product. The product is easily absorbed into the skin and it's not greasy which is very good for massage. But I'm not sure about the warming part of the description I can barely feel any warming. I bought this for my dear mother who had a chesty cough. I hope it helped it says anti-inflammatory.
