I was using retinol before but it was very irritating for my skintype (very dry and sensitive). Ever since I switched to this retinoid 5% with squalane I haven't experienced any skin sensitivity at all. Just make sure you don't get to close to your eyes it might make your eyes a little watery otherwise. Donn't expect mountains of miracles with this product in short time. Give it a fair shot before judging it. I've been using it for almost 2 years and slowly I'm starting to see some positive changes but it looks subtle but still noticable. My dark undereye circles have faded slowly but steady. My fine lines are far less prominent as welle especialy those annoying smile lines that I naturally have. Just make sure you use spf30 or up all year around because retinoid/retinol can both cause some UV sensitivity.
