The humble bar of soap gets a glamorous make over with this gorgeous Beauty Bar Kit from trailblazing brand SkinOwl. These soaps are a must-have for any green beauty fans - being non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free and made with the purest essential oils and plant extracts that really prove their mettle. Use them as a cleanser or a mask to transform your complexion, following SkinOwl’s special lather and splash technique (see ‘How To Use’). If you have combination skin or are susceptible to hormonal eruptions, the Brightening and Energising soap contains a whole host of ingredients to draw out impurities and soothe skin in the process. Included in the kit is a full size Beauty Bar, a tray to keep it clean and dry when you’re not using it, as well as a mini version of the bar to take on your travels (the fact it’s a solid product means you won’t have any issues with liquid allowance on planes either!).
1. Fill skin with warm water.
2. Dip Beauty Bar into water and gently lather soap onto the face (avoiding the eye area). Note: the Charcoal Bar is dual purpose, by also acting as an exfoliator.
3. Let Beauty Bar sit in water while massaging the lather over face (and neck!) with fingertips.
4. Splash face five times with the soapy water from the sink to stimulate the active ingredients. Next, splash the face five times with warm, running water to rinse the skin.
5. Blot the skin dry.
6. Follow with the appropriate Beauty Drops: Geranium in the morning, Mangosteen in the evening.
If you feel your skin is looking congested, dull and a bit well, ‘meh’ - Brightening and Energising soap will help it get its groove back. Charcoal is the main star of the show – which purifies the skin without stripping it of its natural oils. It’s also got five ‘hero’ essential oils: lavender, eucalyptus, cedarwood, tea tree and peppermint which team up to calm and clarify skin superbly. The texture of this soap gently exfoliates, to slough away any debris for a smooth surface.
