One of the most uber-luxe scents to add to your perfume collection- Halfeti is based on the small Turkish village of the same name, where in the 19th Century, the British Levant Company would acquire exotic florals, leathers and spices and bring them back to England - to the wonder and delight of Victorian society. A bouquet of precious ingredients, it opens with fresh notes of grapefruit and bergamot before enveloping the wearer in a cloud of Turkish rose, saffron, jasmine and cumin. Once the initial flame has softened, the rich base of leather, vanilla and sandalwood comes to the fore, for a seriously sublime concoction.

Spritz this on wherever you would normally wear jewellery

If ever there was a perfume described as intoxicating, Halfeti pretty much fits the bill. Described by one Penhaligon’s customer as 'like being wrapped in a cocoon of luxury first thing in the morning and cuddled the entire day' the bouquet is centered on the Turkish ‘black rose’. Grown on the banks of the Euphrates river, it’s an extremely rare species of rose, famed for its intense bouquet. It’s backed by a chorus line of seductive jasmine, oud and sandalwood to dazzling effect. Created by perfumer Christian de Provenzano, Halfeti is part of Penhaligon’s Trade Routes Collection, inspired by the exotic wares from the Far East that were famously traded at East London’s docks in the early 19th Century. Wear this as your signature scent to entrance passers-by at every turn.

I can't get enough of this stuff and bf loves it too. It lasts for ages and is very unique. It's warm, seductive and expensive-smelling. Unisex but much woodier on my man's skin. Very unique. Highly recommended from me! xx
