    The colors are really flattering and go well together. The shadows are shimmery and sheer. The tint and lipgloss - I never would have picked these colors on my own - are flattering and natural. I only wish CB sold the full size eyeshadows since they are really small and it can be a bit fiddly to get a brush in there. This kit is definitely for a natural look (hint: its called Bare Beauty) so its not for you if you like a more made up look. I'm also not convinced by the Essential Matte Touch but I still love this kit and use it all the time!

    Should be named 'barely there' no-beauty

    I have seen this set featuring on a number of beauty bloggers' wishlists, and I had already heard so many raving about other similar products in the Jouer range. I was very excited to try this palette, but I have never, ever been so disappointed in a product before - and believe me, I have way too many. Firstly, the eyeshadows have almost no colour payoff, almost all of it gets stuck to the eyeshadow brush (even with my beloved MAC 217), and when you do manage to get some on your eyelids, you look like you have greenish-type-bruises on your eyelids. The powder got very cakey, and although I put a few layers of the cheek tint as a blusher, after about 3 minutes all the colour was gone. I have to be honest and say the lipgloss was absolutely amazing, but for not worth the £45. If Cult Beauty claims to be selling only the best products in the world, I have no idea how this product ended up in their collection. I am really disappointed that I wasted so much money on this product.
