  • Institut Esthederm Sun Sheen Light Tan Self-Tanning Face Cream 50ml

Image 1 of 1

Self tanners work by using the sugar DHA, which changes colour when it reacts with the dead cells that make up the first few layers of your skin. As the top skin is worn away so is the fake tan, this is why it can become patchy. Sun Sheen uses the famous Institut Esthederm skincare technology to distribute the DHA more evenly through the layers creating the perfect replica of a natural, golden tan. This light facial tanner is less concentrated and therefore brilliant for fair skins.
Always exfoliate your skin first and moisturise knees, elbows and ankles. Apply in a circular motion to your body, then without squeezing out any more from the bottle, use what's left on your hands to wipe on the tops of your feet, elbows and knees. Wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap for 1-2 minutes. After washing hands apply this to back of hands with cotton squares or makeup sponge. Blend carefully. Wait three hours for your tan to develop before washing or swimming.
Institut Esthederm Sun Sheen Light Tanning Self Tanning Face Cream is one of the best on the market for people who really need fake tan...ie really pale people, generally of Anglo-Saxon descent. Most fake tanners are just that, with poor skincare technology, but Sun Sheen is a great moisturiser that stops darker patches forming, protects against ageing and facilitates a consistent dissipation of the pigment through the top layers of your skin. It looks so realistic your Mother couldn't tell.

    Fantastic
    5 out of 5 stars
This is a fantastic colour. I have strawberry blonde hair so need something that doesn't make me look orange & patchy. This just looks like my natural tan (which does happen) and I have received so many compliments about looking well. A fake tan without looking fake.

I was so hoping this would work for me but it really broke me out and looked too orange on my naturally fair skin. I tried the Dr Dennis Gross Glow Pad's instead and those are wonderful.
