  • Emma Hardie Eh Intense Daily Vit V Serum

Image 1 of 1

Emma Hardie Skincare's serum boasts a silky, lightweight formula with 2% Vitamin C which is gradually released on the skin over time and helps combat the effects of sun damage, with the help of red algae. It also stimulates collagen production for a plumper, firmer complexion. Another hero ingredient in there is Vitamin B3, which works to reduce inflammation and even skin tone. Vitamin C Intense Daily Serum also has a gorgeous fragrance thanks to its luxurious blend of essential oils including rose geranium, lavender and sweet orange. Use it on its own or under your moisturiser.

Apply to clean skin every morning and evening, alone of before your preferred Emma Hardie Day/Night treatment cream.

Vitamin C Intense Daily Serum works like a Berocca tablet for your skin - with a side of anti-ageing. It revives and firms the skin, while reducing pigmentation and wrinkles in the bargain. Harnessing the potent antioxidant benefits for Vitamin C, it protects against the sun’s harmful UV rays (the ones that cause premature ageing) and other environmental aggressors. Vitamin C is an active ingredient that’s notoriously tricky to stabilise in product form, but Ms Hardie and her lab team seem to have pulled it off – hats off to you guys.

    Not good under makeup
    5 out of 5 stars
Loved the brightening effect of this, combined with the Vitamin C cream, but can only use them both really at night, as I have trouble blending my makeup over the top of this. It kind of goes tacky and rubs off into small balls. Very annoying as I really have to wait ages for it to set before being able to apply makeup. Not good for on the go, but is great for a night treatment.

    Balling up :(
    2 out of 5 stars
I purchased the serum and the day moisturizer from the same line to wear under make up in the daytime - this is impossible as the serum 'balls up' (which usually happens when you layer lots of silicone based products). I love the ingredients and the lightweight texture of this but the little balls look horrible when trying to blend the foundation over it. Same happened when I tried to wear the moisturizer without the serum, so there is something in both causing this. Also balls up when worn on its own without foundation. Since it was quite pricey to throw away, I will have to use the serum at night and the moisturizer I found balls up less when mixed with 2-3 drops of oil (Aurelia's worked better than EH oil). Overall, I love the brand and some of the products (cleansing balm is my stable, face oil also great) but these I will not repurchase and I cannot recommend. For reference, I have very dry skin.

    Ahhh!! The little balls!
    3 out of 5 stars
I had high hopes for this fresh & zingy scented serum but was left underwhelmed. It felt quite tacky/sticky when applied and does not sit well under makeup with the annoying little balls of product forming! Not a winner for me.
