I wanted to love this. I have a lot of Dr. Dennis products, and my skin responds well to Vitamin C. What could go wrong? The lactic acid was too tacky and left my skin irritated all night. I tried to acclimate to it in my nightly routine, but it just wouldn't absorb for me. Also, I know vitamin C is supposed to have a natural tint to it, but this was almost brown. Maybe I just got an old bottle, but I quickly chucked this in the bin rather than using my face as a testing ground.

I'm a long time fan of Dr. Dennis Gross and have used their products religiously for years, but this is not the one for me or anyone else with even a slight sensitivity to scents. I bought this to replace my favorite, but sadly now discontinued product (the C+COLLAGEN BRIGHTEN Serum, which worked wonders on my skin). It too had a unique scent, but nothing compared to this. The VITAMIN C AND LACTIC ACID Serum has the most dreadful scent, and I'm so disappointed! After only one use, I can say with confidence that I sadly won't be buying or using again. I hope they'll consider bringing back the old formulation or find a solution to address the scent caused by these active ingredients!

It gives you an instant result with refined pores and smoother texture. I’m amazed. I thought that I’m allergic also to every possible acid, so I was unsure trying it, but since was a gift from my led mask purchase, I decided to give ir a try. Smeels bad, by the way, so I will use it only at night. I guess this smell its better than artifical one.

I hope serum does it work. It has a little bit oily texture and  smells awfully. That’s why I am not enthusiastic to apply it every morning. Generally Dr. Gross brand does very good products and I know that good results will come soon.

I use this every morning right after cleansing my face and I've noticed it makes my skin a lot brighter and has helped fade my hyperpigmentation and melasma.
