I was really excited to try this serum, it's good to layer, sinks in easily. That is about the end of the good things though as I thought their products were mostly fragrance free, but this is so strong and cloying! Like so overwhelming that I do not enjoy using it. I am going to use up the bottle but I would never repurchase.

I am a multi-product kind of gal, my 42 year old, dry skin rather demands it. My morning routine is usually a spritz, serum (maybe booster if needed) and moisturising oil or cream to seal it all in... that was until I had a baby three weeks ago. I’m a huge fan of Allies of Skin as a brand, they always do things a little bit differently and a lot more efficiently than most. I’ve not needed to try their blemish ranges, but products like their All Day and Night Masks have raised my expectations of what good skincare can do - and that takes some doing! This multi-hyaluronic acid serum is a great example. Working as a barrier, a plumping retainer and a protector of the slowly diminishing supplies of inherent hyaluronic acid in my skin, this light serum works so well I’ve actually found (by nature of not having time to put anything else on my skin and blearily grabbing for the nearest bottle on the shelf between feeds) that this is working very well as a one-product skincare routine to keep my skin plump and hydrated. It sinks in completely within 20 seconds and for the one time I recently managed to put on some makeup, this acted as a good base. I might need a bit more than just this in the winter, but as a light summer product this plus some SPF is all you need.

This is a good moisturising serum, nothing more. I expected a more visible result.

Guess there's nothing to be shocked by in a hydrating serum. It makes my skin soft, more resilient and contains valuable antioxidants. Yet the strong rose/geranium scent and annoying pump (you have to shake it, turn it and shake again so the liquid flows to the top of the bottle and press pump repeatedly, the process takes up to 3 mins) will prevent me from repurchasing this exact product. Love the Allies philosophy though, will explore other products.
