Volume 1 and Volume 2 are the antithesis of mass-manufactured ‘feminine’ fragrances – developed by world-renowned nose Geza Schoen (of Escentric Molecules and Boudicca) – in collaboration with two of his brilliant muses; Memory Grandmaster Christiane Stenger and classical ballet dancer, Polina Semionova. Olfactory manifestations of the way these women feel about their femininity, these multi-faceted fragrances redefine the perfumery doctrine; fusing classical structure (top, middle and base), with non-traditional notes, to appeal to real women of substance.

“I was fascinated by what goes on in the mind of a great dancer while she’s dancing”, says nose Geza Schoen, on the inspiration behind The Beautiful Mind Series, Volume 2: Precision & Grace. Created in collaboration with internationally-fêted ballet dancer Polina Semianova, this multi-faceted fragrance strikes a beautiful balance between uplifting, fruity notes and powdery florals – to resonate with Polina’s memories of childhood, and evoke the emotional and physical freedom she experiences through movement. With a crisp, juicy greenness, the top note of Williams pear gives way to an unusual, fruity-floral heart of Egyptian jasmine, plum, freesia, mimosa and osmanthus (a white blossom with an apricot aroma) – before succumbing to a sultry, animalic base of musk, moss, myrrh, sandalwood and amber. Combining lightness with strength, Volume 2 has a sensuous, lingering depth beneath its effervescent exterior – a celebration of the physicality and discipline required to achieve balletic elegance.
