This gradual tan makes my skin soft and I can get a tan 2-3 shades darker than my skin tone. A gradual lotion is my fav. method of tanning as is less messy than using a mouse and the margin of error is much lesser. You get a streak free natural looking tan. The watermelon scent is faint and it does fade away and then you can start to smell the fake tan smell - it is not that strong as other fake tans I've used, it doesn't bother me that much.

I have to say I am so happy with this product. It makes my skin nice smooth and soft with a tan 2-3 shades darker than my skin tone. If you use it everyday you can probably achieve 4 shades darker. The scent on this is subtle, so I don’t understand the comments complaint about the “fake tan smell” I mean you can barely smell the watermelon. Overall this is a grade affordable product to achieve a streak free natural looking tan

When this first goes on it has a really powerful smell of watermelon. You wait for that to fade... but it’s replaced by an equally powerful fake tan smell. I had to scrub it off to get rid of the smell. Buy SkinnyTan instead, far better results and no sickening smell!
